The UAB Huntsville Family Medicine Center

As the single largest primary care practice in North Alabama, the UAB Huntsville Family Medicine Center is well-suited to serve as the medical home for your entire family. While our size allows us to accommodate your acute care needs more readily than many small practices, we strive to establish one-on-one patient and physician relationships for ongoing management of your family’s health – from your preventative and well-care needs, including prenatal care, to the management of chronic illnesses.

In addition to providing quality, patient-centered care for patients of all ages, we are committed to teaching. In our 35+ year history we have found that those goals are complementary and national studies seem to confirm this by suggesting that teaching facilities tend to be more innovative and to impose higher standards of care.

Whether you are cared for directly by a faculty physician or by one of our 39 resident physicians in collaboration with a faculty member, your care at the UAB Huntsville Family Medicine Center will be managed by some of the best trained primary care providers in the state. In addition to leaders in both the Alabama and Madison County Medical Societies and the Alabama Academy of Family Physicians, our diverse group of board-certified faculty physicians includes physicians with additional specialty training in obstetrics and geriatrics.

Our Family Medicine Faculty Physicians Are:

Nancy Blevins, MD
Marcia Chesebro, MD
Marsha Daniell, MD
Mary Margaret Crestani, MD
Ivester Alex Pope, MD

Rajalakshmi Cheerla, MD
M. Scott Sarrels, MD
Shivani Malhotra, MD
